It’s been erupting since 1983 and certainly must be contributing to global warming and pollution.

The platform “Energy Transition” advises to store the Dutch and German CO2 emission in underground empty gas fields. Reducing the CO2 emission is not possible without this underground storage, says Catrinus Jepma, professor Durable Energy in Groningen and Chairman of the platform.
