The first day of a new year. A fresh start, time for resoles and possibilities. But also a time for consideration and awareness. The second day of the new year. One of three colleagues suggested a challenge to launch a website with great fun to visit. All three had some experience building websites or where involved in the creation process around it.  To give the website a face, Hermen designed the GnomeDiaries logo. He drew a dozen different gnome logos. Together with Paul and Jeroen they picked one, that they felt, fitted the Adventure the best. The design then was digitalized, and given color. |

Now we needed to find an artist willing to create a gnome which is suitable to travel around the world. Secondly, whenever a picture is taken it has to be clear that the viewer is looking at a GnomeDiaries gnome. And last but not least, the artist himself has to support the message. |

 The GnomeDiaries design team is working together with the Dutch artist Ties Lowes who is creating the GnomeDiaries gnome. After the initial design they decided to make some essential modifications to give the gnome a more popular and well known gnomish look. |

 Our design team has been very productive in finding a statue foundry willing to support our initiative in a very generous way. Statue foundry TENAX in Vorstenbosch, the Netherlands agreed to craft the mould and to donate the production of 6 gnomes fully coated and colored to the initiative.

We are currently starting up our “Take Action!” Campaign. The "Take Action!" Campaign is our primary campaign where we encourage people to take action and combat climate change. Goal of this campaign is to create awareness that we need to change just some little things in our lifestyle that can influence or even reduce global warming. |

 Finally, the Gnomes are ready. Next thing to do was to get some media material. We gathered at the photo studio of Fotoosz at Alphen aan den Rijn to start our day of photo shooting. After creating a plan to provide us with the necessary material, the work started.
