Norway is a part of Scandinavia. Unlike what many foreigners believe, Norway is not the capital in Sweden but a country of its own. As a tourist country, Norway is known for its mountains and fjords and for the midnight sun.
Norway has 4,7 million inhabitants but has only 14,5 inhabitants per square kilometer. Almost eight out of ten inhabitants live in urban areas. We have 414 private cars per 1000 inhabitants. We have a low crime rate and a good welfare, with free schools and hospitals. Norway has become one of the richest countries in the world. This is because of our oil industry. Electricity from water is an important energy source. We use more electricity per inhabitants than any other country in the world. You can find information about Norway at http://www.norway.no |
