Investments in Windmills have been doubled last year to 793 million Euro's. The Netherlands now have approximately 1848 windmills, that produce a total of 1615 megawatt; enough to provide 1 million households of power.
Last year an amout of 336 windturbines were added, which is a record. Among this, the windmillpark of Shell and Nuon near the coast of Egmond. In The Netherlands companies can get a reduction on investments in durable energy. They can reducts this on the profitable amount of their turnover. Without this form of reduction, windmills at sea would not be profitable. Besides the energy-sector and the industry-sector, also farmers are using this reduction a lot. (14 percent) Cheers, Roel |
