A Norwegian oilrigNorway's national budget for 2008 is the highest climate budget ever, but the government will soon cover the costs by incomes from oil and gas.

There are positive signals that Norway will go more in for climate efforts in Norway’s national budget that was launched Friday October 5th.

But calculations done by the newspaper Aftenposten show that the expenses will be covered after only 27 days with sale of oil and gas - the most important cause for the climate problems.

Every single day in 2008 Norway will pump up 2,5 million oil drums (including gas), which totally will lead to 376 tons of CO2 emissions.
