Thursday October 18th, Norway’s Prime Minister informed the King of shifts in the "red-green" government. Erik Solheim (52) from the Socialist Left Party (SV) has become a "super minister". He has been appointed Minister of the Environment while retaining responsibility for development affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The previous Minister of the Environment, Ms. Helen Bjønøy, was honorably discharged from her office. The Norwegian government has got critic for not doing enough with the climate problems. "I believe it is important with renewal. I think every government should have some after two years," Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said. |
