GNOMEDIARIES proudly announces the official departure and start date of their 2nd traveling gnome on January 19th 2008.
Now that “Kolden”, the 1st GNOMEDIARIES travelling gnome, has been sent into the wide world and has traveled beyond the influence of the 4 founders, the GNOMEDIARIES team decided to launch their 2nd travelling gnome named “Yaldor” in their goal to spread a big symbolic message for a better climate. Kolden’s official launch on October 20th 2007 turned out to be a big success. It took place in companion with the local press and the main sponsors of the GOMEDIARIES initiative. According to the team, the GNOMEDIARIES.COM website has had a steady traffic grow ever since and is visited on a regular base by several curious returning visitors. “Yaldor” the 2nd GNOMEDIARIES travelling gnome will start his adventure in the hands of Peter Kluitenberg of Bureau Bots (one of the main sponsors) in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Mr. Kluitenberg will be given the privilege to send “Yaldor” into the wide world to start spreading the message that EVERYBODY CAN COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE. Mr. Kluitenberg has not yet revealed where “Yaldor” will travel to, but has promised it will be a spectacular destination! About the GNOMEDIARIES initiative:The message that EVERYBODY CAN COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE will be delivered from gnome host to host when this traveling gnome travels from person A to B and from B to C, etcetera. All travelling gnome hosts are asked to write a personal (environmental) diary entry and to submit a picture as proof of the visit. People can follow the route of the traveling gnome and his adventure in his personal diary on the internet.
