Yaldor together with Upul our Tuk-tuk driver. In Sri Lanka people mostly use public transportation to travel. For us the Tuk-tuks are most ideal to travel with, especially for the small rides to the beach.
Most of the local busses drive too fast and are regularly involved with accidents, so they are not really safe to travel with. And with their old diesel engines they are very polluting. The Tuk-tuks will become more durable in the future with four stroke engines instead of the current two stroke engines. Perhaps that even catalyst make their entrance here in Sri Lanka. Upul was very honored that he was given the privilege to join Yaldor on a picture. On this picture Yaldor is standing in the garden of the Kallabongo lake Resort next to a pineapple plant.
There are a lot of plants in the garden of Kallabongo, most of them are still small, but for Yaldor they are relatively big. There are also a lot of herbs in the back of the garden that are used to prepare the most lovely curry's. Within a few days we will transfer Yaldor to Joy Vrede, together with Melvin Jansen manager of the Kallabongo Resort. Future news reports from Yaldor his adventure will be in their hands after that. |
